has been the Director of Safety and Security for Christ’s Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona since 2005. His core responsibility is leading a team of more than 200 staff and volunteers ensuring the safety and protection of four Phoenix area campuses. Bob retired from the Phoenix Police Department after 23 years. During that time Bob was a Detective in the Organized Crime Bureau for ten years. Bob served in the Arizona Army National Guard for 20 years as a Command Sergeant Major where he was responsible for the leadership training of the State’s Officer and NCO candidates. Bob also served as the Director of Security for Domino’s Pizza’s second largest franchisee. He was responsible for 85 stores in Arizona.
In addition to his responsibilities at Christ’s Church of the Valley, Bob actively assists other churches, schools and church camps as they identify, recruit, train and deploy their safety and security teams. Bob has been actively traveling the United States conducting safety and security seminars and threat and vulnerability assessments for 5 years and is considered a national leader in this area. Bob has been married for 39 years and has two children and six grandchildren all living in the Phoenix area.
